Chris Marsland, President
 
Twenty years of facilities management experience in the educational and residential sector. Served for 17 years as the Facilities Operations Manager for Milton Academy and three years as a Facilities Manager for the Facilities Resources Management Company.  
 
During his tenure, his responsibilities included:
 
  • Management of an annual operating budget of 2 million dollars.  
  • Investigated, prioritized, planned and scheduled requested building maintenance needs and special projects.
  • Coordinated the efforts of over 30 plant operation employees.
  • Directly supervised trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
  • Developed a quality control program by inventory, evaluation and standardization of equipment and supplies.   
  • Developed and managed a campus wide key control program.
  • Functioned as liaison between community and plant operations.
  • Assisted in special events planning.
  • Developed and implemented cycle and deferred maintenance programs.
  • Project management of various projects totaling 1 million dollars annually and served on a capital project team managing projects ranging from 12-25 million dollars.
  • Managed the upkeep and maintenance of 94 residential units on campus.
  • Developed and implemented an effective, responsive service and delivery program to over 30 neighborhood schools and principals in the city of Providence RI and the city of New Haven CT. Additionally, provided direction, support and training to the school department's custodial & maintenance work force in the city of Providence.
